Antique French Document Ghost Image
In marbling, each time you lay paint on the water, you are only able to get one print from it. When you lift the paper off the water, there is residual paint left behind that creates its own unique and intricate patterns. Capturing this remaining paint on paper is known as a "ghost print".
This is a ghost print is captured on an antique French document. We love how it combines history, calligraphic arts, and marbled art. This is a one-of-a-kind piece that will look beautiful framed for display.
- This is an original piece of art, not a reproduction
- Photo 2 shows the entire piece.
-
Measures approximately 8 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches
- Frame not included
- If you are purchasing multiples of one sheet please note that they will be similar but not identical. Due to the hand marbled process, no two are exactly the same.
- Our hand marbled paper features our maker’s mark, an authentic artisan detail, stamped on the reverse, along with possible pencil notes or traces of paint from the marbling process. These markings are not visible from the front and reflect the authentic, handmade nature of our work.
- Papers are not trimmed and may occasionally show small smudges or marks from drying clips along the top edges. This is a normal part of the artistic process and does not affect the quality or usability of the paper.
We aim for transparency and provide accurate listings and photos, but colors may vary across screens. If you’re unsure about a color or pattern, please contact before placing your order.
